St Peter’s School of English
This family-owned school was established in 1966 and most of our staff have taught here for many years
We know that it is easier to learn when you feel comfortable. That is why we work hard to make our school a friendly place for students from around the world.
In addition to being accredited by the British Council we are also a member of English UK.
Small class sizes give you a good opportunity to use your English and a chance to make friends in your group. We also understand that your experience outside the classroom is very important to your learning. Canterbury is a city with a good cultural heritage, and we can arrange homestay with local people so you can experience English traditions.
Statement on the Coronavirus – 4th March 2020
As everyone is aware, the national and international news is full of stories covering the outbreak of the Coronavirus – Covid 19. There are now cases throughout the world, including the UK, after its initial discovery in China, and The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared an international emergency. China has announced the suspension of travel groups for the present, as have other countries.
St Peter’s School of English takes the wellbeing of its homestays, staff and students very seriously.
There is currently no one here with the infection and we have a range of stringent measures in place should that happen. These include the immediate self-isolation of anyone who thinks they may be infected along with continuous support and advice for all those concerned. We have stepped up our already high-quality hygiene measures and our monitoring systems. We have a dedicated cleaning staff who maintain an excellent standard of cleanliness on the school premises and a dedicated sick room for immediate containment while medical authorities are consulted.
There is continually updated advice on the UK government website; this covers the latest areas affected, information about the virus, the current situation in the UK and general information about the situation.
We would like you to know we are doing all in our power to monitor the situation and continue operating as normal. Any questions please feel free to contact us on the link below
